The hotel was founded around the year 1730 as the modest hotel 'Grand Cerf'. In 1828 it changed its name into 'Grand Saint-Hubert' and in the 18th and 19th century it became 'Hotel de la Poste' due to people who stayed overnight when they travelled with the post chaise between England, Switzerland, the Netherlands and Paris.

Hotel De La Poste

A historical building, the rooms an authentic touch of which the majority with parquet of yesteryear with a typical character. Free Wifi in the whole hotel. 

The hotel has 60 comfortable rooms at its disposal, a seminar, a gastronomic restaurant, gastro bar with terrace, international bistro, cocktail bar, lounge terrace on the promenade along the river and a conference room.

A lot of prominent people stayed at the hotel, among them Emperor Napoleon III in 1870 and writers like Cees Noteboom and Emile Zola enjoyed the special atmosphere which they described passionately.

The hotel is located close to the promenade on the banks of the Semois.

General information

Throughout the years, the hotel expanded several times. Today, it is fully restored and it still gives its guests that special atmosphere of the olden days with all modern conveniences.
